Biology Minor Requirements (2020/21)

Changes to the Biology minor

Significant changes to the Biology (BIOL) minor have been approved for the 2020/21 Undergraduate Calendar. Although these new requirements will not be officially published until February 2020,  students who will be finishing their degree requirements in the Winter 2019 semester (or later) may elect to follow these new requirements if they wish to do so. The changes are specifically related to the requirement for 3.0 additional credits from "courses offered by the following departments: Human Health and Nutritional Sciences, Integrative Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology." This will be changed to allow any courses listed as Biological Science on the Approved Science Elective list for B.Sc. students, regardless of the offering department, to be acceptable. The requirement for 1.50 of these additional 3.00 credits to be at the 3000 or 4000 level remains the same. Biological Science courses are listed as such under the 'Type' column on the approved list.

The complete 2020/21 Undergraduate Calendar description is given below. Students should contact the Program Counsellor for their degree, or the B.Sc. Academic Counselling Centre, if they have questions.
