Course Selection windows for the Winter 25 semester begin opening on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 8:00 AM according to the number of credits completed and in progress. All students taking Winter 25 courses must plan to select their classes as soon as possible after their window opens, and absolutely no later than Sunday November 10, 2024. Otherwise courses or sections for required courses may no longer be available. Course Selection continues until Friday, January 10, 2025.

Students will be unable to enrol in courses (or make changes) using WebAdvisor/Student Planning during the following time periods due to scheduled maintenance:

• 8:00 AM to 12:00 NOON on Monday, November 11, 2024.
• 8:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 through to 8:00 AM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

A reminder that when making additions or changes to class schedules on/after December 4, 2024, students must also ensure that their Winter 25 Final Exam schedules remain conflict-free (the Final Exam schedule will be posted when the system comes back on-line on December 4th).

Winter 25 classes begin on Monday January 6, 2025.

IBIO 3100: This course has been cancelled for Winter 25. Biodiversity majors that have this course scheduled for Winter 25 semester may instead register in BIOL 3660 - Internship in Bio Sci. BIOL 1080 - Update! In order to ensure a conflict-free schedule for BIOC and FOOD majors with MATH 1090, four sections of BIOL 1080 will be restricted to students in these majors - section 0106, 0107, 0116 and 0117. BIOC and FOOD majors are welcome to register in these or any other section they wish that allow for a conflict-free schedule (posted October 18th).

BIOL 3650 Introduction to Athletic Therapy: Interested students should review the information and instructions on our BIOL 3650 page. The application deadline is Friday October 25, 2024.

Space availability is not guaranteed for students in other majors or minors. Please note that the waitlist for CHEM 2700 will close at noon on November 15, 2024. Anyone who has not submitted their name to the waitlist prior to the closing of the waitlist will not be considered for registration in W25 CHEM 2700 (updated October 25, 2024).

STAT 2050 - Update #2! The waitlist is now closed. The restriction will be removed on Monday, November 11th at Noon for any additional students who wish to register (posted November 5, 2024). Update! Restricted to MSCI majors in BA, BSCH and B.MATH. BIOC, BTOX and MBG majors and those with a STAT minor, may register as well. A waitlist for STAT 2050 is now open for students not included in the restriction. Please complete this on-line form to add yourself to the waitlist. STAT 2230 - The course is currently full. The B.Sc. Academic Counselling Centre is now taking a waitlist for students in majors that are included in the permanent restriction for this course. Students in other majors/program not included in the restriction will not be considered. Please complete this on-line form to add yourself to the waitlist. Priority will be based on program/major and year level (posted October 30, 2024).

Requests for Credit Overloads (for students wishing to register for more than 2.75 credits) will only be considered for approval by the B.Sc. Academic Counselling Centre beginning Friday December 20, 2024. Students can send their request for credit overload to bscweb@uoguelph.ca.

If all sections of a required course are temporarily full when your Course Selection window first opens, please continue to monitor WebAdvisor regularly. Occasionally, it may take a few hours before additional spaces are made available. Students should also regulary monitor this page for updates. If all course selection windows have opened, and you are still unable to create a conflict-free schedule of your required winter courses, please contact the B.Sc. Academic Counselling Centre immediately.

New for Winter 25

HHNS 3000 - Special Topics in Lifestyle Medicine will be offered in the Winter 25 semester. This is a Priority Access course and will apply as a liberal education elective for BSCG, BSCH and BOH students.

MICR 4250 - Microbiome and Immunity will be offered in the Winter 25 semester.

Course Requirements
